China's latest skywalk
Jutting out from a sheer cliff 1,430 metres high, the glass skywalk of China's Zhangjiajie National Forest Park offers sightseers terrifying thrills and clear view of the mountains below. The bridge encircles the vertical cliffs of Tianmen Mountain in Hunan province. Sightseers are requested to wear supplied cloth slip-on footwear so the he 3ft-wide, 2.5in glass is not marked.
And while walking across the glass may be a scary prospect, spare a thought for the construction worker who, as the pictures show, did not have the luxury of a safety barrier when it was being built.
