Aussies give thumbs up to Mile High Club

If you're planning on joining the Mile High Club, then make sure you're on a flight with Australians.

Three quarters of Aussies say they would happily move to another toilet if they saw a couple sneaking into a plane toilet together, presumably to have sex, a travel survey has found.

Around one in ten would be patient and wait for the pair to finish, while over eight per cent said they would complain to a flight attendant and ask the culprits to stop.

Less tellingly is the five per cent who admitted they would ask to join in on the act.

The survey of more than 2,500 also found that Australian travellers are very tolerant when it comes to their in-flight neighbours.

An overwhelming 94 per cent of respondents said it's ok to breastfeed on a plane, while almost 68 per cent were happy for fellow passengers to go barefoot once onboard.

The goodwill extended to those who won't stop talking, with more than three quarters saying they would either smile and be polite or put their headphones in and tune out.

Radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands was also voted the worst person to sit next to on a long-haul international flight by those surveyed.
