Most images or footage of Amsterdam seem to be in the middle of summer as boats cruise the Amstel River through the centre of town andl cyclists take over the streets. Well, the Amstel is just as popular in winter it seems, however the boats are embbedded into the forzen river which is transformed into a highway for ice skaters.

Not a lot happens in this video, but it just made reminded us that the northern hemisphere would be an interesting place in winter also... especially for us sunburned Australians.
