The nation’s largest cruise promotion kicks off this September with dozens of cruise lines offering exclusive deals to entice even more Australians onboard in the lead up to a record cruise season.
The International Cruise Council Australasia’s (ICCA) inaugural National Cruise Week will run from September 3 to 9, 2012.
For one week only, 28 ICCA member cruise lines will offer cruise specials available only through hundreds of ICCA member travel agents.
ICCA General Manager Brett Jardine said National Cruise Week would be the largest cruise promotion ever undertaken by the local cruise industry.
“Throughout National Cruise Week, Australians will be able to take advantage of exclusive deals and spectacular savings offered by member cruise lines through ICCA member travel agents,” Mr Jardine said.
“For any holidaymakers wanting to book their first cruise or organise their next holiday-at-sea, National Cruise Week is the time to get onboard.”
Australia is one of the fastest growing cruise markets in the world with 623,294 Australians taking a cruise holiday in 2011, up 34 per cent on the previous year.
To mark National Cruise Week, member travel agents will be holding events in store and online.
