Travel & Cruise Centre has cleaned up at the annual Travellers Choice Awards in Perth last week, taking home the event’s highest honour – The Brian Pateman Award for Excellence – among a swag of other accolades.
The annual award – named after industry stalwart, the late Brian Pateman - recognises and rewards a travel agency committed to the achievement of excellence across a range of categories, including support for fellow agents and marketing strategy.

The award capped off an astonishing weekend for the local travel agency which celebrates it’s 10 year anniversary in 2017.
Not only did Ucango also take home a Gold Choice award - which recognised the Top 10 preforming agencies across Australia – the agency also received national awards from Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Celebrity & Azamara, P&O Cruises and Travelcube.
“I didn’t have the privilege to have met Brian, he was before my time.” Ucango Managing Director Dave Hulsman said after being presented the award by Joan Pateman, Brian’s late wife. “However, I have always been of the firm belief that if an award is named in your honour, you must be one special person.
“We are truly honoured & humbled to have won this award and to have our name associated with such esteemed company.”
Travellers Choice Managing Director Christian Hunter said the Ucango Travel which has offices at both Maroochydore & Waters, was a worthy winner.

As the 2017 recipient of both the Brian Pateman Award 7 Gold Choice Awards, Ucango Travel & Cruise Centre receives prizes with a value of $4,500 from Travellers Choice.
